Gov. Douye Diri National Scrabble Tournament 5th Edition

The 5th Edition of the Governor Douye Diri National Scrabble Tournament holds in August. 

You can recall that the Press Secretary to the Governor and Chairman of the Bayelsa State Scrabble Association, Daniel Alabra has tirelessly worked to ensure the 5th Edition holds as promised by the state governor. 
 

Over 250 players all over the country are usually expected to participate for over N10,000,000 prize bands with a grand prize of N1,000,000 and a giant trophy 🏆 

Players like Enoch Nwali (the defending champion), George Ezinore (Current National Champ), Timi Doko (Current African Champ) are all warming up for the event

The Miracle Grand Convention Hotel in Bangkok has been confirmed as the official venue for the Causeway Challenge 2026, taking place from 29th May to 1st June 2026 according to Michael Tang This year’s event promises to be bigger than ever with 500 players competing across 5 Divisions in an open tournament format.
