The 5th Edition of the Governor Douye Diri National Scrabble Tournament holds in August.  You can recall that the Press Secretary to the Governor and Chairman of the Bayelsa State Scrabble Association, Daniel Alabra has tirelessly worked to ensure the 5th Edition holds as promised by the state governor.    Over 250 players all over the country are usually expected to participate for over N10,000,000 prize bands with a grand prize of N1,000,000 and a giant trophy 🏆  Players like Enoch Nwali (the defending champion), George Ezinore (Current National Champ), Timi Doko (Current African Champ) are all warming up for the event

Why You Should Have A Scrabble Mindset

When the 3rd Gov. Douye Diri National Scrabble Championship was ongoing at the Bayelsa State Banquet Hall in Yenagoa this July before the Las Vegas World Championship, I met with Enoch Nwali after he loss to Emmanuel Ofidi in round 14 of 15, I told him to win the last round just to make me happy. little did I know he took that as a priority to achieve it. To me, I just felt he was a little bit low in motivation so had to say something nice to him. Eventually, he came to my table and gave me a like👍symbol from a distance and that was when I realize that he had won the tournament.   The game of scrabble is one that helps you to have critical thinking skill and enhances your brain. Each time you encounter "bad picks" you see that your thinking speed increases. If not for the fact that I saw Enoch and spoke with him, he probably would have loss to Ofidi who knows.  while all this was happening, a none scrabble player by named Evylin walked to the podium to look for me having...
